Widowed father Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) raises his three daughters — D.J. (Candace Cameron), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) — in San Francisco, with help from his brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) and best friend Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier). The sitcom ran for eight seasons, from 1987 to 1995, becoming a staple of family television.
